Rick B.  and I played Babe Zaharias Golf Course in Port Arthur today, 4-3-2023 and had a blast. This is the best I’ve seen Rick play. I think he was even or +1 after 9 and sticking his iron shots within 10-12’. I was -3 after 4 holes and -1 after 9. Play slowed down way too much for us so we called it a day. We were behind a big money game with several groups of 5.

This course is easier than most I play, lots of roll and great greens that held. The wind was howling and my longest measured drive today was 281 with the wind of course.

Once again, thanks to one of the best golf instructors around, John Ankenbrandt and to Charlie M. for their instruction and tips.

We tried out some seafood after the short round. It was fantastic!
