WALLY   BURNS

Wally started playing golf at age 10 or so and was a scratch golfer from about age 18 – 30 when he stopped playing. His daughters were very involved in activities which took a lot of time.

Wally shot even par 144, 76-68 to win District in High School. Wally assisted PGA Pro Al McMichael, Texaco Country Club, Houston, TX in instructing junior golfers in the summers for a few years.

Fast forward 35 years.  Wally plays in matches about 2-3 days a week that usually has 20-25 senior, age 50+ gentlemen in the group.  Wally’s club also has inter league matches weekly from early spring to fall. Matches with 20 gentlemen from Wally’s club against 20 of another teams/country clubs/golf clubs group are played weekly. 12 different country/golf clubs in the Greater Houston area are in the league, 1 match at home and 1 away per team.

I’m playing in MGA tournaments monthly out of town which are a lot of fun, Different formats are used for the tournaments.

I will explain in detail why I made the club and equipment choices I did. My extensive research will make it easier for you as I clearly lay out options. Your clubs and the golf ball you use are more important than many realize. You have some good options even on a tight budget, for beginners and seniors and others.

Golf, it’s a privilege to play. Take care of the courses!
